Here I show you how to clean aquarium glass and restore old fish tanks. I normally use white vinegar to remove calcium buildup on the glass. Most of the time it works however when you have a fish tank that has some bad water spots I use bar keepers friend. This really removes the water stains off the aquariums really well. There is nothing worse than looking through a aquarium with calcium build up on the glass when you are trying to enjoy your fish. All I used with the bar keepers friend was some warm water and a rag to scrub off the stains on the aquarium glass. After scrubbing the glass for a few minutes to remove the water stains I let it sit for a few minutes before I rinsed the tank. After I cleaned the aquarium and sprayed it down the results were amazing! I have so many old crusty tanks that have so much calcium build up on the glass and now I know how to get rid of the water marks to make it crystal clear. I highly recommend using bar keepers friend on your aquariums and fish tanks to make it look new. I have passed up on so many old stained tanks on craigslist due to the crusty water marks on the glass. Now I will be looking for old used aquariums to restore!
