They say children are like sponges, absorbing all their information at accelerated rates from young age. Dogs are no different. Heard the saying 'can't teach an old dog new tricks'? well that isn't true, but it is definitely 10x harder haha. Everyone is more eager and excited to learn when new! This method of training starts with non verbal cues, then transition to verbal with the intention that the two commands reinforce each other. Harley loves training dogs. We were just letting Titan be Titan but she wanted order in the house when there were 5 adult dogs running around! This is a good example of how quickly you can train any breed with the right technique, but most of all patience and reward. Note how Harley mentioned not to change to another topic and maintain the one with a break before trying another. The dog has to get enjoyment/reward from it to be successful!
