Teaching your dog to walk backwards is a very fun and impressive skill. People LOVE to see a dog walk backwards. In this video I give you all the basics to teaching your dog this skill. I demonstrate it first with my dog Goofy and then show the steps to get your dog to learn it with our puppy Duane - aka the Duane-O-Mator.
As much as it is a fun thing to watch, there are countless benefits to a dog that knows how to walk backwards. Its best if you can start with a puppy, but you can teach it at most any age.
