While most of us consider them extreme, thousands of people around the world keep dangerous pets. Look in any major city and it won’t take long before you uncover an animal that just doesn’t seem to belong. From alligators and snakes, to wolves, bears, bison, chimpanzees, and more, these unconventional and deadly pets offer an adrenaline-pumping experience you just don’t get with a poodle. The danger-factor is precisely the attraction. Through interviews with owners, neighbours, vets, zookeepers, town officials, and law enforcement agents, Predator Pets explores whether we’ve crossed the line by keeping these wild animals among us.
